He hadn't seen Zi Ling in the third trial, so he knew that she was safe since she couldn't make it to the seventh floor of the tower. Zi Ling said, "Keep an eye on that Lin Fan for me. He is a very important person and if anything happens to him, both your and my head won't be enough to compensate for it. I repeat once again, make sure absolutely nothing happens to him."
