Michael let go of the man, as the latter fell on the ground.
"You should have just given three dollars man" Michael shrugged his shoulders and took three dollars from the man's wallet, before throwing his wallet on the man's face as he started walking back to the restaurant with a big M...on it.
As Michael approached them, the bystanders slowly made way for him as they looked at him.
"Aren't you afraid that they would get back at you?" the young woman called Rachel earlier suddenly asked when Michael was just about to pass her by.
Michael stopped and looked at this somewhat attractive young lady and said, "Nope, Are they scarier than Jin, who is Senator's Reeves son?"
Rachel looked at him with shock for two seconds, then finally opened her mouth and said, "They...are not though"
"Then it's fine. After all, nothing ever happened to me after I sent Jin behind bars" Michael smiled as he shrugged his shoulders while patting the young lady's head, and then made his way back inside.
"I told you I can handle it"
Michael playfully winked at the guard as he walked past him, and the guard just smiled stiffly in return.
"Holy! I just remembered, he's that guy who saved his girlfriend when Jin kidnapped her! It was on the news for a couple of days after it happened!" then the young man named Max realized something and snapped his fingers and pointed at Michael.
Michael suddenly tripped on the way to the cashier when he heard the young man. After all, he and Amanda is still not a "thing", and he's still in the process of making it happen.
And right now, he's truly realizing how hard it is to make a woman like you, especially a woman who is prideful and stubborn as fuck like Amanda.
A little while later.
Michael left the restaurant with a cheeseburger in his hands.
"It's been a while since I have eaten a cheeseburger, or should I say its been many years since I had one?" Michael laughed and slowly made his way back to his car.
Meanwhile.
"Did...did he just beat up some guys because of a burger?" Tom said, and at the same time, he was amazed at how fluid Michael's movements were when he took down those three guys.
"This guy could really fight, right Captain?"
"Yeah, which is something I've been wondering till now. According to the report we had gotten on him, he was just an ordinary kid a couple of months ago, and now, he's-"
"A badass, right? Is there a possibility that those people taught him a few of their skills?"
Tom cut him off and said, then he quickly turned the engine of their car and slowly followed Michael from a distance.
"Maybe, maybe not, and the boss would have certainly stopped him by now from seeing those people if he were being taught by them," the Captain said.
"But Captain, that still doesn't explain how he suddenly became good at fighting when he was just wimp a couple of months ago," Tom said while giving him a glance.
"Shut up Tommy, it's not our matters anymore what he does in his life and what he did before. Don't forget that our mission is to protect him" the Captain berated him.
Tommy shrugged his shoulders and said, "It doesn't look like he needs our protection though"
Meanwhile.
Michael looked at his rearview mirror and sighed, "These people are still following me, don't they have something better to do than just stalking me?"
Then Michael looked at the time in the car and saw that there's over half an hour left before the update for the game is over.
"Should I go visit Amanda's place for now?"
Michael slowly parked his car on the roadside, and took his phone and sent a message to Amanda.
[I'm headed at the cafe, are you over there?]
And ten seconds later, a reply came.
[Yes, what do you want this time?]
Michael just smiled and didn't bother to send her a reply and quickly drove towards Amanda's place.
At Amanda's cafe.
"Ughh, that asshole is coming over here again" Amanda groaned and placed her phone beside her laptop.
"Stop acting like you don't like it, you're clearly happy about it" Jenny, who is sitting on the sofa before Amanda's desk snorted.
Amanda smiled and said, "Shut up, it just feels weird when he's around me. I always have this weird feeling that we know each other from somewhere and that we're really close, but at the same time, I also have this urge to beat the shit out of him, you know that feeling?"
Jenny sighed as she put her phone down on her lap and turned her head towards Amanda, and said, "No~! Do you have a few screws loose in your head or something? Only you would have felt like that, and stop acting like you don't care. I clearly saw you smiling when you saw his message earlier"
"Jen, shut up." Amanda scowled at her, and Jenny just shrugged her shoulders, then said, "Be honest with me, lady. You like him, Michael, right? Be honest, we've known each other for how many years now, you can't hide anything from me"
"Hmmph!" Amanda snorted and turned her chair away, but then a small smile slowly crept on her lips.
"Well, he did save me multiple times now, and he was really cool when he saved me from Jin back then"
"No...no way. Did you start liking him because of that? You...bitch!" Jenny was a bit astounded because of that.
"Shut up you stupid woman. Yes, I admit that I do like him, so what? But he should work hard for it, I'm not like those other women who would immediately let a guy inside their pants"
Amanda laughed, and her pair of eyes flashed like a sly fox.
"You...you are such a bad woman. Very much like you in the game, Solitary Tempest"
Amanda just chuckled at her friend's comment.
