Even the principles of life and death in the netherworld are derived from the principles of the earth. The Way of the Earth is the core of Hou Tu and also the fundamental Way. All clarity and turbidity, yin and yang, the five poles of heaven and earth, the underworld and life and death, are all vassals of the Way of the Earth.
