Rong Yi’s body asked the little evil kid, “Boy, do you know which way to take?”
The little kid looked from the left hole to the right and from the right hole to the left. Each was the same. He could not distinguish between them, only remembering that his dad once said ‘No.5’. “Five, five…”
Rong Yi’s body asked, “Do you mean the fifth passage?”
The little evil kid nodded.
Rong Yi asked, “Is it the fifth from the left or from the right?”
The kid felt more confused at the words. ‘Which side is left and which is right?’
Rong Yi’s body sighed, “Oops.”
Yin Jinye observed the two passages in the middle, “It should be the left one.”
Rong Yi asked, “How do you know?”
“Look.” Yin Jinye pointed to the left, “The left is cleaner than the right. It can be told that there’re people come in and out.”
A closer look showed that there was indeed more dust on the right than on the left.
Yin Jinye added, “As long as the little kid shut the trigger, it doesn’t matter even if we take the wrong one. We can retreat and take the other one.”
“Yes, we have the little evil kid. We’ll be fine even if we try all them of them.” Rong Yi’s body held the kid and flew to the left.
While Rong Yi whispered to Yin Jinye, “Daddy, we saw the fierce beast just now. He probably knew that we found this place and lured his son to the immortal’s abode. He might catch up soon.”
Yin Jinye thought the same. He asked Jiang Mu to place a seal at the end of the passage. If the fierce beast came, he would be blocked for a while, so they had the time to flee with his kid.
The little evil kid remembered how his dad taught him to shut down any trigger. He could distinguish and shut it down as soon as he saw one.
The trip was smooth, but they never relaxed their vigilance.
After about half-an-hour flying, Rong Yi’s body finally stopped.
Rong Yi asked, “Have we arrived yet?”
Rong Yi’s body pointed to the cave on the left, “Look, there’re so many ingredients, devices, and magical weapons.”
Everyone looked in the direction he pointed to, only to see fairy-level ingredients piled up into a mountain. Their eyes lit up and Xiang Lv was the first to fly forward.
“Poisonous, poisonous…” The little evil kid uttered.
Rong Yi’s body asked, “Do you mean those things are poisonous?”
The little evil kid nodded.
Xiang Lv felt dizzy at the approach of the cave entrance. He hurried back to his original position, taking a Detoxifying elixir, “It’s indeed very poisonous.”
“Are you all right?” Rong Yi asked him.
“I’m of high cultivation so I could retreat quickly. Only a small amount. I can handle it.”
Bu Qi flew to the front, “They’re poisonous. We’d better not touch anything.”
Rong Yi asked, “Where is Yin Yan? Did you bring him in?”
Yin Jinye answered, “We got separated when coming in.”
“If only he were here, we could find out what kind of poison is on these ingredients and whether we could take them away.”
Yin Jinye looked around and saw a door in front of them. “Let’s go in and have a look first.”
“Okay.”
They flew to the door Yin Jinye mentioned.
Rong Yi’s body asked the little evil kid, “Is there any trigger in it?”
The little kid shook his head.
Yin Jinye asked someone to push open the door and check the situation inside.
His man opened the door to make sure there wasn’t any abnormality in it and then go in to check if it was safe inside. Then he returned, “Master, it should be the cave of an immortal.”
Yin Jinye nodded, “Let’s go in.”
The abode was not spacious, so he let others wait outside and then went in with Rong Yi and several other people.
The abode was arranged like a luxurious mansion. Its ground, covered with expensive carpets; its zenith, hung with beautiful spiritual stone lamps, and a picture of the forest hung on the wall. Besides, there seemed to be a large landing window leading to the forest outside.
Rong Yi walked to the front of the big window and held out his hand curiously, but meeting the icy rock wall. “Fake? It looks so real.”
Rong Yi’s body came to him and said, “The window and the scenery outside should be phantom.”
Rong Yi turned to look around, “There is nothing we are looking for here.”
Rong Yi’s body asked the little evil kid, “Is there any trigger?”
The little evil kid shook his head.
Then, Rong Yi’s body handed the child to Jiang Mu and groped for the trigger himself.
Rong Yi also followed to find out if there was a dark room or something. He turned over the picture on the wall, touched the stonewall, but did not find anything strange. Then he saw if there was any problem with the picture.
The painting looked nothing usual, just a forest. So he hung it on the wall again and went to look at the bookshelf next to it.
Yin Jinye walked beside him, opened a book, and looked at it. When he found that the book recorded something he had never seen, he put all the books on the shelf into the storage ring.
Rong Yi asked the others, “Have you found any trigger?”
“No.” Everyone uttered at the same time.
Qi Lan leaned against the door and looked down at them who were busy looking for something, “Guys, how about if I lock you here?”
“Not afraid.” Rong Yi’s body pointed to the little evil kid, “His dad will come here to find us anyway.”
“Really?” Qi Lan quickly stepped forward to shut the door.
Xiu Zhuo, who was standing outside, tried to stop him but it was too late, “Master Qi, please don’t misbehave. If they are locked inside, we can’t leave here, either.”
Qi Lan twitched his lips, “I am just trying to frighten them.”
Xiu Zhuo, “…”
People in the room stared at each other.
Rong Yi’s body felt depressed, “He really locked us here. Is his joking or serious?”
Yin Jinye said blandly, “He wouldn’t really lock us here.”
“He might felt bored along the way here with us. As long as we ignore him, he will naturally lose interest and open the door for us,” analyzed Rong Yi.
Hearing this, Xiang Lv and other people went on looking for the trigger.
Noticing that people inside the room did not clamor for opening the door, Qi Lan knitted his eyebrows, “Have they found the trigger?”
He pushed open the door and saw that everyone was immersed in searching and cared nothing about his threat at all.
He snorted coldly. Then, a ripple suddenly appeared in front of him. Space distorted right afterward and the abode changed from a luxurious house to a desolated secret chamber.
Rong Yi was surprised. “So the trigger is on the door. No wonder we can’t find it.”
Rong Yi’s body said to Qi Lan, “I have to praise what you did this time although you always try to pick a fight.”
