Bai Da did not come in, staying outside with three children, saying he was afraid they would be scared if they saw, Ye Xiu did not think too much of it, but Bai Zhi just smiled faintly.

Such a long cut, stitched with seven or eight stitches; the doctor’s movements were swift, leaving her terrified. She dared not move, afraid of disturbing him.
When Bai Zhi slightly furrowed her brow, as if in great pain, Ye Xiu could no longer hold back and spoke up.
“Doctor, could you please be a little gentler? Please!”
The doctor did not stop but efficiently disinfected, changed dressings, and bandaged in one smooth sequence.
Once everything was finished, he then looked at Ye Xiu and Bai Dan.
“You are family members, right? She has some inflammation and needs to either take oral medication or have an IV. You choose which one; an IV would work faster, but it’s more expensive. If you opt for medication, it will be slower. Oh, and has she had her tetanus shot? That’s mandatory!”
Bai Zhi really did not know; she had been bandaged up by the time she regained consciousness, so she was clueless.
“We did, the same day it happened. Doctor Zhou said we should see how she recovers before deciding on an IV. Let’s go with the IV; we’ll go pay now. Doctor, we’re not afraid to spend money, give her the best medicine.”
Bai Dan immediately spoke up, not afraid to spend the money. As long as Xingxing could get better, that was all that mattered, and he didn’t need to consult anyone else – he could afford it.
“Dad, I’ll go pay, I have the money. Xingxing is my daughter; it’s only right that we bear the costs.”
Ye Xiu was stunned, and after recovering, immediately argued over who should pay.
Only Bai Zhi felt a mix of emotions; the IV mentioned was the infusion that people commonly spoke of, obviously for anti-inflammatory purposes, but she was terrified of needles.

In the end, Bai Dan did not win over Ye Xiu. He thought about it and realized that as Xingxing’s parents, it was their duty to pay for their daughter’s medical fees.
So he didn’t stop her, and the two accompanied Bai Zhi to undergo the skin test.
But Bai Zhi, who had been following along obediently until then, suddenly stopped at the door and refused to go in.
Her hand was shaking…
That needle was just too long.
The skin test was painful, and then the medicine had to be pushed in through it. Could she run?

But she was not someone who feared pain,

After a long while, Bai Zhi finally uttered a sentence.
Ye Xiu turned her head to look. It wasn’t very long, was it?
The child must be afraid of injections.
Ye Xiu looked at Bai Zhi tenderly and began to coax her softly.
“It’s okay. It’s just like being bitten by an ant. Will you trust Mommy?”
Ye Xiu’s words seemed to touch Bai Zhi for a moment, and Bai Zhi followed her.
At that moment, Ye Xiu’s heart was lightly brushed by a feather, tickling…
Xingxing still relied on her a lot. Otherwise, why would she be so obedient?

The nurse saw this and began to tremble. She was just an intern, what should she do in this situation?

The nurse ran off quickly, Bai Zhi’s face turned deathly pale, looking as if she had been fished out of water.
