Though he could have pushed the gap to 12 levels and fought against Level 31 spiders, Valyr opted to stay with the Level 30 spiders, taking into consideration the disparity between his stats and their stats, as well as the advantage they had in numbers. Fortunately, with the combat experience he had accrued from his previous life, he was still able to maneuver his way around the spiders, always ending up victorious.
Naturally, the title of Combat Elite wasn’t just for show.
Of course, if he really wanted to see how far he could truly go within the Experience Pit, he could reduce the amount of monsters he would have to fight at once to one before cranking up the difficulty of the monsters to the highest it could currently go, which was Level 35.
Even though his chances of winning against a match-up like that was high since he only had to focus all of his offensive skills on one enemy instead of five, the amount of XP he gained from killing one high-leveled enemy every once in a while would be less than what he could gain from killing five lower-leveled enemies at once within the same duration.
With that, he eventually found a suitable rhythm that would allow him to kill all of the Level 30 spiders without much difficulty, taking into consideration the amount of mana he had, as well as the time each skill went into cooldown. Coincidentally, it was only after he had found his rhythm was he made aware by the staff that they could increase the speed at which the enemies appeared, allowing him to increase his killing efficiency.
Of course, it was no surprise that he ordered the staff to increase it, allowing the staff to witness the sight of a one-man killing machine right in front of their eyes.
With every attack he made, a spider would go down, only to be replaced by another not long after. After that, he would use a skill on a spider, causing that one to go down, being replaced soon after as well, forming an endless cycle of attacking with either basic spear movements or swift spear skills.
Nevertheless, even though his stamina had improved after reaching the late levels of Rank 1, the stamina Valyr had was enough for him to continue attacking the Level 30 spiders forever. From time to time, he would tell the staff to stop for a bit as he took a quick break to replenish his stamina, only to return to the pit a few minutes later to do it all over again.
While in the middle of the monotonous task he had put himself in, at some point, Valyr thought about the message the spear had sent him, telling him to choose spiders as his targets. Though he did follow the spear’s request, which brought him to his current situation of fighting against five Level 30 spiders at all times, he still wondered as to why the spear decided to ask him that.
Fortunately, it did not take long for him to get his answer.

“I see. So, that’s how it is.” Hearing a notification sound resound throughout his mind, Valyr focused a bit of his attention towards the notification he had received, prompting him to look at his spear for a bit as he let out laughter not long after.
With a grin on his face, the battle intent he radiated throughout his surroundings slightly intensified as he became more aggressive with his movements, causing more blood from the spiders to be spilled throughout the surroundings as the connection between him and the spear gradually improved over time.
With every kill he made, the chasm that separated him and the spear slightly grew narrower, giving him the drive to continue killing the spiders before him as if it was the only thing he could do. After all, the last time the connection between him and the spear had improved was back when he had imbued Lesser Tidemother Blood into the spear in front of Tristan, so he definitely wasn’t going to say no to a chance at improving that connection.
Especially a chance that was right in front of him.
Unfortunately, the rhythm of killing he had found eventually came to a halt as the staff informed him that everyone was mandated to take a one hour break from the pit to rest up and replenish themselves. Slightly confused for a bit as the sun’s rays from outside told him that it wasn’t anywhere near sunset yet, he eventually recalled the other rule the Experience Pit had, prompting him to let out a light sigh as he eventually made his way out of the pit.
Heading out of the room he had occupied for the past few hours, he noticed that many other people were heading out of the rooms as well, with some of them having dissatisfied expressions on their faces, similar to him. Knowing the reason for their glum expressions, he eventually found Wells among the group, who had a blank expression on his face all this time.
“So, how was your experience in the pit so far?” As Valyr tapped Wells on the shoulder, the latter was swiftly brought back to reality, prompting him to beam a wide grin at Valyr in response.𝗈𝑽𝓵xt.𝒸𝐎𝔪
“Amazing.” Though Wells’ response was short, Valyr already understood what he meant by that, nodding in response as he smiled back. “You should have told me there was a place like this in the city.”
“Well, now you know.” Hearing Wells’ words, Valyr chuckled before wrapping his arms around Wells’ shoulders. “In any case, wait till we head to the Experience Pit in the kingdom. I’m sure you’ll ask me the same thing once we do.”
“Now you’ve got me curious.” Letting out a chuckle of his own, Wells asked Valyr what he meant by his words, prompting the latter to tell Wells a bit about it as they made their way outside to have some lunch.
