The question came out strange. It was a rather unexpected thing to ask someone you’ve just had sex with. It was like asking someone on a first date whether they wanted to marry you. Kent appeared desperate.
‘Did I come off as desperate?’ he wondered. The question was indeed bizarre. He might have overestimated his skills in bed, thinking a whole goddess would accept his proposal.
“Yes.”
“Huh?” Kent was taken aback. Did she just accept his proposal to be his woman? That was probably wrong. He had likely heard her wrong.
“What did you say?” he asked, finding it hard to believe a goddess would agree to join his harem.
“Yes, I want to join your harem and be your woman,” Vexthra replied, adding more clarity.
“Let me get this straight. You, a goddess—a being standing at the pinnacle—want to take me, a mere mortal, as your husband? I don’t mean any disrespect, but who would believe that?” Kent didn’t understand what was happening.
While he did ask the question, he never truly expected a positive answer. A part of him just wanted to see if the harem system would work. So, while he might have subconsciously wished for a positive response, he was fine with rejection.
That didn’t happen, and he needed confirmation.
Vexthra looked at him curiously for a moment, and then, for the second time, she smiled. The smile bloomed so beautifully that, in that instant, all traces of hatred in her eyes vanished. Kent saw her true eyes—or, more accurately, the eyes she had before all the hate and resentment.
“I said yes because you have done two things for me today,” Vexthra said, looking into Kent’s eyes. “First, you have shown me a part of myself I’ve been trying to hold on to for millions of years. Although I became a being full of hatred, I never truly gave in.
I had hopes and aspirations, and until they were fulfilled, I would never have succumbed to the darkness. That brings me to the second thing: you have helped me step back from that thin line keeping me from being consumed.”
Kent looked at her curiously for a few seconds before he also smiled back. He leaned in and their lips locked. After kissing each other for a few minutes, he broke away from the kiss.
“So, you’re my woman now,” Kent muttered, and Vexthra nodded, looking rather cute in that instant.
His focus then shifted to the Tower messages.
[ The Master has gained her consent. Does the Master want to add the Goddess Vexthra to the Harem? ]
“Yes,” Kent didn’t hesitate.

Kent sighed, and then, without holding himself back, he moved toward Vexthra and began exploring her body.
