He took a deep breath and relaxed. “Don’t need it.”
Bai Weiwei looked confused. “So what should we do?”
“Nothing.” Song Yunhuan was a little agitated.
When he saw he had scared Bai Weiwei, he tried to calm down.
He spoke gently, “The research is almost finished. You don’t have to do anything else.”
Bai Weiwei looked at him in doubt. “How much is ‘almost’?”

He held Bai Weiwei’s hand while pushing a loaded shopping cart out of the supermarket.
Before even taking two steps, he stopped, the red light in his eyes flashing.
He whirled, threw aside the cart, and ran ahead holding Bai Weiwei.

A huge explosion burst behind him.
The heat and shock waves carried debris and gravel with them.
Song Yunhuan didn’t blink, simply encasing Bai Weiwei in his arms.
He used his back to block all the incoming debris. Broken glass stuck into his flesh. He frowned, but didn’t move.
He looked back. It was a bomb, dropped from a helicopter.
And through the eyes of other zombies, he saw a line of troops marching their way.
Was he their target?
He clutched Bai Weiwei’s fingers and helped her up.
Bai Weiwei was stiff, not speaking.
Song Yunhuan immediately placed her in a hidden corner. “I’ll lead them away. You hide.”
Bai Weiwei nodded and crouched in the corner, not moving.
Song Yunhuan turned to leave, but he heard her say, “Come back quickly.”
He couldn’t help laughing. Someone cared about him.

Bai Weiwei: Easily gaining points, how moving.
What came next was not as moving. A hand extended from the darkness, grabbed and pulled her, running like hell.
She was surprised to see that the person pulling her was Lin Xiao.
Lin Xiao’s face was solemn. “Princess, I’m here to save you2.”
Bai Weiwei: “Who’s your princess, you let go.”
Lin Xiao grabbed her and wouldn’t let go. “Don’t be afraid, I know that zombie threatened you. My uncle is now the boss of L city, I’ll protect you.”
When Bai Weiwei heard this, she grabbed his hand and ran ahead. “I didn’t say anything. Run faster, ah.”
Wasn’t L city where the zombie vaccine was being developed? Turning Song Yunhuan back into a human, she would properly get 100 affection points, ah.
Song Yunhuan came back to where Bai Weiwei was hiding, and saw she was gone.
Song Yunhuan was covered in blood, his eyes red. When he looked through another zombie’s eyes, he saw Bai Weiwei pulling on Lin Xiao’s hand, run to a tank, and get in.
She wasn’t coerced, she ran away.
“Ha ha–”
Song Yunhuan suddenly laughed. His expression turned sinister.
“Bai Weiwei, Bai Weiwei…”
A sound like tears of blood.
