Kana, who was unable to stop in time, smashed into the trees in front of her. Luckily she was able to turn her body in time to avoid crashing head-on. "Ow!"
"Kana, this is no time to be nursing your wounds. You need to move, or this three eyed horned bear just might eat you alive!" Lysairth was getting nervous. She could not let Kana die here. Not just because that would mean she would disappear but because that would mean Kana, who was most likely the last of the dragon race, would die.
*Rawr!*
Another shadow came flying over towards Kana, causing her to have to tuck and roll out of the way. "Eek! Come on, give me a break with the damn trees already!"
"Wait, why did it stop?" Lysairth was puzzled why the three eyed horned bear was not getting any closer to them. It was only throwing trees from a distance. "Kana, I think we are actually out of its territory! Let's get as far away as possible."
"Thank goodness!" Kana let out a sigh of relief as she climbed back to her feet and turned her butt towards the three eyed horned bear and shook it back and forth while slapping her butt cheek with her right front paw. "You can't touch this booty!" Then turned her head and stuck her tongue out at it.
*Rawr!*
"Oh crap! It's running over here!" Kana felt every scale on her body stand up on end as she quickly started running again.
"Why did you have to taunt it!?" Lysairth was at a loss for words. Kana was almost out; all she had to do was keep running out of the three eyed horned bears throwing range, and she would be perfectly safe! But no! She had to go and taunt it! In a way, Lysairth had to commend Kana for her ability to anger things.
"You said he wouldn't leave his territory! Obviously, this is not the case!" Kana yelled in complaint as she was once again dashing through the woods with the three eyed horned bear chasing after her. At least this time, it was not throwing trees, making Kana, who once again has her tail tucked between her legs, able to run like the wind.
"Normally, that is so, but you pissed it off to the point that it no longer cared about territory!" Lysairth decided right then and there that if they made it out of here alive, she was going to force Kana to do all kinds of cute poses!
"Please stop chasing meeeee!!!!" Kana jumped over a bush and suddenly caught nothing but air. "Ahhh!"
*Splash!*
"Gurgle! Paawh! Haaah! I almost died! Wait, how the hell do I swim!" After jumping over the bush, there was a drop, and below was a river. Currently, Kana was splashing around like crazy trying to keep her head above water.
"Kana, relax and paddle with both legs. Both legs, Kana! Kana, listen to me! Paddle with both legs!" Lysairth was doing her best to instruct Kana, but her words seemed to not be getting across to her.
"I am paddling with both legs!" Kana yelled as she continued to struggle. The river's current had taken hold of her, and now she was at the river's mercy.
"Use your hind legs too!"
"Oh! That's right, I have those, don't I!" Once Kana started using her hind legs, she was able to upright herself into a doggy paddle as she worked her way to the river's edge. For someone who never learned how to swim even in her past life, Kana learned quickly and finally got herself up on shore. Kana laid on her back, spread her front and back legs out, and stared up at the treetops above. "I am never shaking my butt at a bear again."
"I think you shouldn't shake your butt at anything that is stronger than you." Lysairth was beginning to worry about Kana's future. "At least we got away from the three eyed horned bear."
"Yeah, that bear had issues. But Lysairth, I am really hungry now." Kana's stomach was rumbling. She had not eaten anything since she arrived in this world, and every time she tried to get food, it ended in her either falling down a hole or being flung through the air.
"I am not surprised. You burnt a lot of energy just running away. For now, let's follow the river. We may find some small prey for you to eat." Lysairth hoped all the excitement for today was over. She could sense how tired Kana was after dealing with so much. She hoped they could at least find something to eat before it got too late.
"Wait over there is some kind of weird bird." Kana paused her steps as she saw a bird that had three legs and a huge tail of feathers.
"Mmm… A tri-footed pigeon. They can't fly and taste okay. It will be good practice to hunt one of these. You just have to sn…." Lysairth did not even get to finish her explanation when Kana pounced.
"Die and become my dinner, you weird looking chicken!" Kana jumped out of the bush and yelled at the top of her lungs completely announcing her arrival.
"Kaw!"The Tri-footed pigeon turned around, showing no fear, and lunged at Kana!
"What!? Ow! Hey! Quit it! Stupid bird!"
"Kaw! Kaw!"
"Taste my lightning paw!"
"Kaw!"
"Damn you, tough! Take this! Super hammer dropkick!"
"Kaw! Kaw!"
Lysairth watched the scene of a dragon and a tri-footed pigeon rolling around on the ground fighting. One was pecking and scratching while the other was punching and kicking. The scene was actually a very comical sight. "Oh, Kana, what am I to do with you..."
