Kana's eyes opened wide at Lysairth's explanation. She really had no idea what to make of all this. She really did not care too much about being strong, but if her form would look really cool as she evolved, she did not mind working a little harder. "So how do I access this system thing?"
"Oh, that's easy. Just stand on one leg, hold your tail with your left front paw, point your right index claw to the sky, spin around three times before making a cat pose, and saying: I, the great Kana, command you to open my status menu, meow!" Lysairth, at this point, was totally teasing Kana, thinking she would puff out her cheeks and refute her but what happened next made her ghostly heart swim with Kana's cuteness!
"So like this!?" Kana did just as Lysairth said. She stood one leg, held her tail with her front left paw, pointed her right index claw up to the sky, spun around three times, and then curled her paws up in front of her, arched her back a bit, and said: "I, the great Kana command you to open my status menu, meow~!"
"So cute!" Lysairth let her inner thoughts slip, causing Kana's already red scales to grow even redder!
"You! You were playing with me!" Kana never felt so embarrassed in her life. She wanted to find a hole to hide her little dragon self.
"Mmm, I will admit I was messing with you, but it's because you are too cute. I never thought you would actually do what I said… It is a good thing I do not have a corporeal body, or I would have died from your cuteness due to blood loss. Anyway, I was only partially playing with you." Lysairth had no issues admitting to what she did. She had been alone in this temple for so long waiting for the day one of her brethren came in hopes of assisting them. Now that she has even merged with one of her brethren, she had no reservations with entertaining herself.
"Nhg… How much of that was you not just playing with me?" Kana asked. Although she had a good idea what the answer would be.
"Just the status part." Kana collapsed. She laid on the floor and looked up at the temple's ceiling, wondering if she had actually taken a demon into her body.
Kana pouted her lower lip as she said: "Status..."

"Oh, something appeared!" Kana shouted as she saw a semi-transparent blue window appear in front of her.
"This is your system. As you can see, it has everything you need to know about your status. See how your level shows 1/10. When you reach level 10, you can finally select your evolution path. Now check your skills by taping the small book on the bottom right-hand side. All the others are currently unavailable." Lysairth explained.
Kana looked at the bottom right-hand side of the status window and saw three icons. One was a book that was lit up while the other two a magic circle and something that looked like an egg were a dull grey. Kana raised her front paw and stretched out her claw, poking the transparent window in front of her opening a whole new window.

"These are all the basic abilities a baby dragon gets from the day they are born." Lysairth continued explaining each skill as Kana began to slowly tune her out.
"Wha..."
Kana began to speak, causing Lysarith to stop her explanation. "Wha?"
"Wha-What the hell is with these dull skills!? Where are my cool magic spells!? Baby breath!? What the hell is that!? Do I breathe on them and stink them to death with my bad breath? Tailwhip? Am I a dominatrix? Claw? Bite? And here I got all excited for nothing…." Kana flipped. When she heard Lysairth talking about the system, she thought back to the novel she read and got her hopes up of being able to have some cool spells to fling around, only to have these dull skills shoved into her face. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she broke down. She sat on her bottom, her hind legs out in front of her, and her front legs fell to her side as she began crying.
"Umm? Kana? Why are you crying!?" Lysairth began to panic when she noticed Kana was crying. She was completely confused as to what was happening all of a sudden.
"I…" *Sniff!* "I wanted cool spells!" Kana wailed.
Lysairth let out a long sigh. "Kana, You have to level up to gain these so-called cool spells."
"Huh?" Kana paused her wailing when she heard Lysairths words.
"Every creature in this world has to start off with a basic set of skills. Some species start off with none. But upon reaching the max of their current form, they can finally evolve and begin choosing an attribute to learn a school of magic. Then you can learn all those 'cool' spells." Lysairth made sure to emphasize the word cool to Kana so she would calm down.
"Then I can cast spells like 'Burning Raging Thunder Sphere?' " Kana's love for the novel she read over and over was starting to pour out in an almost chunni style form.
"Ahh… Yeah... Exactly like that. Very cool spells like that!" Lysairth just lied through her teeth in order to get Kana out of her gloomy mood. Lysairth decided she would deal with the future when the future came.
"Then what are we waiting for!? Let's go level! Meow~" Kana sprung to her feet, her attitude doing a full 180 from what it was, and for some reason, made a cat pose and meowed.
'Did she actually like making that pose?' That was what Lysairth asked herself.
