“Hasty eh? Well, it doesn’t matter, you kids can call me Prof. K but you might know me as the… Green Messenger”, the figure didn’t emit any elemental properties as if he’s just a normal person but after feeling the pressure from him, Rex and Adhara know for a fact he’s not normal.
‘Green Messenger? Is this the person mentioned by Mr. Joseph?’, Rex thought, he remembers exactly the words said by Mr. Joseph about this person.
‘In the bleak night when the night is at its coldest, the green messenger will come and visit. His eyes are venomous green, his skin is paler than the mighty vampires, he will come…so be ready’, that is the words said by Mr. Joseph that Rex recalled.
The green messenger looks at them, although his eyes are covered by his mask, Rex can still feel his gaze on him.

Looking at this, Rex was shocked!
This is the first time he can’t see the stats of a person, usually, if the person is a high-ranking, the system cannot calculate their stats but can still identify their power and name.
But this figure in front of him, not only Rex can’t see his stats, Rex can’t even see his real name!
The green messenger straighten up his body and said, “Let’s see what you can do”
He brought his hands up aiming towards Rex and Adhara, Rex and Adhara put their guard up expecting an attack.
Flick!
The green messenger flicks his fingers, Rex and Adhara were confused the flick looks ordinary when suddenly,
WHOOSH!
The flick produces two concentrated white forces that shot out like a bolt, it makes a whooshing sound as it pierces the wind.
The attack is so fast that Rex doesn’t even have the time to dodge before the attack hits him,
“Akhh!”, Rex was pushed a couple of meters back because of the impact, he touches his chest in pain.
Surprisingly, unlike Rex, Adhara manage to dodge the attack by twisting her body to the sides.
“Hoo, so that girl is gifted in speed. Let’s try that again”, the green messenger sent another round of attacks by flicking his fingers.
The same concentrated white force appears and shot out like a bolt,
Rex already anticipated the attack, “Force Beam!”, Rex musters the force in his body and sent a white beam.
BANG!!
The collision between them explodes sending a gust of winds to the surrounding,
Rex looks around, he remembers that there are a couple of students chilling here on the rooftop but what he saw is a couple of unconscious students lying on the floor.
‘So he knocked them all out first before he comes to me, I didn’t even sense that’, Rex thought in surprise, his senses never fail him but this guy is on another level.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
“So you are gifted in strength? You even comprehend a gist of Force, what a genius”, the green messenger said excitedly
“But that girl over there…”, the green messenger glance at Adhara then he continues, “You are not only gifted in speed but you are also a Fire Elementalist”
Adhara’s body is covered with a red hue, the second attack seems to be faster than before so she is forced to use her fire element.
Rex then opened his clothes revealing the tattoo on his chest and said, “What is this? Explain!”
The green messenger glance at him, “So you are Rex Silverstar, the guy who holds two medals of honor, the heroes of Dwight City”
“Allow me to explain, You have been chosen by our organization and I’m here to test you”, the messenger said while spreading out his hands.
Rex knitted his brows and replied sharply, “Why am I chosen? What if I don’t want to be chosen?”
“HAHAHA”, the green messenger laughs.
“You will eventually know, for now, take this”, the green messenger tossed an injection at Rex.
Rex caught it and looks at it briefly, he saw there is a black substance in it that looks sketchy.
He then asks, “What is this?”
The green messenger tilted his head and answered, “Why don’t you try it? Maybe it’s a poison or maybe it’s an enhancement. Anyway, my work here is done”, after saying that, the green messenger explodes into green smoke before vanishing from sight.
Rex and Adhara lower their guard when they feel the green messenger has already left, they look at each other briefly before they sit back down tiredly.
“You got some explaining to do”, Adhara said while knitting her eyes in suspicion.
Rex can only smile wryly before he tells everything to Adhara.
Adhara listens attentively then she said, “I once heard from the lecturers the other day about this organization called the Stygian Crow Organization. The lecturers said that they are the rival of the Ochyra University or rather the rival of all Awakened”
Hearing this Rex questioned, “Why did they say that?”
Adhara holds her chin in thought, she then said while recalling the lecturer’s conversations, “If I remember correctly, they are non-Awakened who strive for power by using body enhancement…”
After talking to Adhara for a while, Rex returns to his room.
He crashed into the bed feeling tired and sore, ‘That green messenger guy, why do he have to hit me so hard’
While lying on the bed, Rex recalled that he still has 5 Skill Upgrade points that he still hasn’t use.
He then opened the system and looks at his stats briefly,

In the past days, Rex put his attributable stats to the mental section, he also fought a couple of students that come to make trouble but the students started to avoid him because he is too strong, so sometimes he picks a fight with others just to get Exp.
Although it is not much, it is still decent.
He also gain gold by defeating the students, he thought that his gold is depleted because of Laura but to his surprise there is 390 Gold in his pocket.
He remembers that the system said that gold will be available upon reaching level 10, the gold that he has comes from beating skeletons after he reach level 10 and beating the students the last couple of days.
After looking at his stats, he then goes to the skill tree section and looks at the skill that he can learn.
Unlike before, there are many skills that he can learn.
Rex opened each one and read the description but these two caught his attention,

The user will be covered by a barrier made of moonlight that will protect the user, the power of the barrier will increase depending on the user’s level and the moon. You can only use this skill when exposed to moonlight.
Because of making Adhara into a Half-Werewolf and becoming an Alpha of a pack, Rex unlocked the Alpha Intimidation skill that he wanted but he also needed a defense skill.
The Alpha Intimidation costs a whopping 5 skill upgrades, while the Moonlight Barrier costs 3 skill upgrades.
After thinking briefly, Rex decided to get the Alpha Intimidation considering his high mental stats.
Thinking of Alpha, Rex remembers that he gain benefits by becoming an Alpha so he decided to ask the system, ‘System what is the benefit of becoming an Alpha?’

Rex is too focused on Adhara that he didn’t see a blue spark that comes out of him shot out to the sky during Adhara’s transformation, it is a signal to other Werewolves that a new Alpha is born.
“Eh?”, Rex’s brain went blank for a second after reading this.
He then hesitatingly asks hoping that he interprets it wrong, “In simpler term?”

The words sent lightning in Rex’s brain, his brain malfunctioned reading those shocking words, cold sweat started to run down his forehead as his hand trembled.
‘With my current strength, I can’t fight Werewolves!’, Rex’s eyes turn into worry but then a flash of the Werewolf that kills his parents crosses his mind.
He then gritted his teeth as his eyes turn bloodshot, ‘No Matter, Let them come! I will massacre them all!’
A couple of days ago, Inside a dense forest, Werewolves are roaming around like an animal.
The night sky is clear without any hint of cloud and stars, only the moonlight shone brightly that makes the Werewolves relaxed when suddenly,
CRACK!!
A blue spark shot out and explodes at the sky, all of the Werewolves look at the sky while sniffing. They smell the scent of a newcomer, a young Alpha.
Inside one of a hut made of bones, a huge muscular grey Werewolf is sitting on some kind of throne, it’s size is easily five times bigger than Rex.
It has a scar that crosses its right eye and chest, a red rune is glowing on its right shoulder, It emits a horrifying aura even when it’s sitting peacefully.
Beside the throne is a pile of humans and animals corpse, some of them is only left with bones.
The Werewolf is currently closing its eyes in peace when suddenly its eyes opened wide abruptly, it takes a deep breath forcefully, its eyes shone dark red, and blood leaked from its mouth.
It felt the newcomer aura, he stands up and left the hut wanting to look at the sky.
Its step is heavy making a thudding sound, it looks up at the sky, “A Contender!”, The huge Werewolf then smiles evily, it feels every fiber on its body becomes excited as it lets out an howl.
Aaaaoouuuuu!!
The other Werewolves also join in the howl in a union, decorating the silent night with terror.
