A burly dark old man shouted full of anger and sorrow.
This old man was none other than the previous Lord of the Frey's, Liam Frey.
Some years ago, a rumor spread on the island about the demise of Levan's father after he ventured deep into the Swamp Marsh Forest to get an opportunity to breakthrough.
Before going, he had left his position for his eldest son Levan Frey to manage.
Since then there has been no news about him but seeing him here now brought chills to the people who remembered him and his face like for example Norman.
Knowing how cruel and mad this person was, Norman did not want to leave Violette unprotected on the ground.
'Dammit, this man is dangerous...and it looks like he finally made a breakthrough in his cultivation.' Norman thought in his head as he remembered seeing this person two decades ago.
"Soldiers of the Frey, here my command. Retreat and regroup behind me. Now!" an authoritative voice spread through the whole battlefield.
'Lord Levan Frey! Why is he here? And that other person should be Levan's father, it seems.' Violette thought as she recognized Frey's current Lord and guessed that he was Levan's father because of the sentence she had heard him say on his arrival.
Since the Frey's militia fell back, the Union soldiers also did the same and regrouped behind Violette under the guidance of Commander Cen.
Now the situation on the battlefield came to a standstill. On one side were the Frey's with Lord Levan at the front and Lucas standing behind him tending to his injuries while also popping a pill into his mouth.
Also, to his adjacent was an old but burly man holding his third son in his arms who he had just saved from plummetting to his death.
No matter what the old man did, his son remained dazed while looking into empty space and unresponsive.
Seeing this Liam Frey was once again boiling with anger. The moment he arrived the old man saw his youngest son dying under the sword of a woman while his third son has been scared silly into a vegetative state after having a close call with death.
Not to mention, if not for his oldest son using the precious Talisman scroll in time to lock the serpent in its place, his second son might just have become nothing but food for the Demon Beast.
On the other side, the merchant union also regrouped and stood behind Violette and the eagle.
"Levan, I want that woman dead no matter what cost you have to pay! Your brother's death cannot go unavenged"
"Understood father. But I think we should capture her alive first and then parade her all over our city naked. Only that would be considered as a fitting punishment for the wench who dared to kill my little brother." said Levan.
Levan was just as burly as his father. The only thing that made him stand out was that he was too calm unlike his father even if his little brother had just been killed.
"Do as you see fit. I will take care of the eagle whereas the serpent will not be able to get out of the barrier for some time." Liam said while gritting his teeth in anger.
After saying that Liam Frey handed over his third son to the soldiers standing behind him so that they can take care of his son as he was not in a state to fight.

'Oh my!... This is not good' Alex thought. Through the visual from a puppet, Alex had seen how the battle between the two forces had progressed and till now it was to his liking as the Merchant Union headed by Ms. Violette was winning.
But suddenly the situation of the entire battlefield had completely changed when Lord Levan and his father entered it unannounced.
"Cyrus, order everyone to speed up and make haste. I will go ahead first to check out the situation" Alex quickly said and ran off at full speed without giving Master Clayton and Uncle Jack the time to ask anything.
The site of the battlefield was just a kilometer ahead so Alex covered that distance in just a minute while running at his top speed. Master Clayton with the army marching together would at least take another ten minutes before they can arrive near the battlefield.
The first thing that came into Alex's sight was the blinding light and sounds of fighting between the eagle and an old man.
He then caught sight of two men ganging up on a helpless woman. Realizing that she was in a bad scenario, Alex as a gentleman knew it was his responsibility to save a damsel in distress. Even more so when the damsel in distress was a babe with a smoking hot body.
Even though it was night time, some places with trees and dry bushes on the battlefield have been set on fire giving off enough light for cultivators to see around them.
"Alright, now it's my time to shine. Here I go" Alex said as he entered the battlefield by passing a swath of armed soldiers guarding the back of the Merchant Union troops.

"Hey, you stop right there!!... Fuck, he's fast. Somebody stop him."
"Squad leader, we cannot even catch up to him. He is too fast." some guards tried to stop Alex but he made his way past them by zigzagging through the gaps he found between the soldiers.
When Alex couldn't find a path forward, he would just take leapfrog over many groups of soldiers, even using their shoulders and heads as support to continuously take a leap after stepping on them one after another.
Just a hundred meters ahead, Violette was already getting cornered by Lucas with the help of his big brother Levan Frey.

Just as Violette was evading another strike from Levan's sword, she found it was just a feint. But she realized this a little too late because till then Levan had sent her flying through the air by rudely bashing his knee onto her stomach.
Violette somehow barely managed to land on her two feet and tried to stand up but immediately after that, she vomited a glob of blood out from her mouth. It seems the previous attack has injured her internal organs.
"Cough...Cough..."
After seeing Violette getting injured, the serpent named Blossom put in more force into bashing her body crazily onto the barrier that had caged her within it.
Norman also wanted to come for her help but Liam Frey was not giving him any chance. He was not even giving him the chance to take flight into the air.
Lucas was just going to launch a strike to kill the hateful women but his brother stopped him in between.
"Lucas, did you not listen to what I had said before. Killing her in one blow would be too little of a punishment. For our little brother, we can't give her an easy death. Do you understand?" Levan Frey said and turned to go to help his father dealing with the flying Demon Beast.
Lucas also agreed with his brother on this matter, so he walked up to Violette and grabbed her by the hair causing her to involuntarily close her eyes in pain.
"Bitch, see how I will rip apart your clothes in front of the public and parade you throughout the city just like a dog and skin you...Aghh!"
