The corridors were dark as Jun Tianyun used his Eyes of Fortune. Although his vision didn’t improve much, he could look out for any hidden dangers.
He remembered the path as he slowly went to the old library.
Jun Tianyun’s heartbeat turned faster when he entered the old library. He didn’t turn on the lights.
After all, ghosts would always blow them off in the end, right?
Jun Tianyun opened the basement door as he looked ahead.
The room was filled with red light as the golden halo was shining brightly at the end of the room.
Jun Tianyun could see the faint black dot there, giving a heavy vibe. However, somehow, the black ray has shrunk from before.
” Alright, Let’s do this.”
Jun Tianyun nodded as he walked towards the end of the room.
Suddenly, he shivered a bit as he looked around. Although everything looked normal, the air around him turned colder.
Jun Tianyun braved his heart as he walked forwards. He reached near the object which was giving the golden radiance.
Jun Tianyun saw there was a wooden box on the bookshelf. It was covered by a thick layer of dust.
Jun Tianyun patted the dust as the carvings on the wooden box became clear.
” This box completely gives the vibe not to open it. But Yan Xiao would have opened it anyway.” Jun Tianyun sighed.
The moment he opened the lock, Jun Tianyun felt a cold current run through his body. He dropped the box, allowing it to be flung open!
” MUAHAHAHAHA”
” 200 Years! I have been trapped by that bastard daoist for 200 years.”
” Finally, I am free.”
A cloud of black smoke rose as it converged into a figure of an old man.
The old man’s skin looked dried up as if there was no blood. His eyes were hollow, with a faint red dot in the center.
With his black cloth, he gave an extremely eerie feeling.
” Gh-GHost!”
Jun Tianyun shouted loudly as he took a few steps back.
As he turned to escape, he was stopped by the spirit.
” Hehe, Brat, Thank you for unsealing me. I am a… good spirit trapped by an evil cultivator.”
” Come near me, I will give you the blessing of mine.” The old man slowly spoke.
Jun Tianyun sneered in his heart as he could guess the blessing.
But his expression showed fear as took a step back.
” St-Stay away from me.”
” No need to be afraid. Just come to me.”
” If you listen to me, I will grant you magical power.”
” Really?”
” Indeed. I am telling the truth.”
The old man spoke with an honest expression. Jun Tianyun nodded as he walked to him.
Suddenly, A grin appeared on the face of the old man as he grabbed the shoulders of Jun Tianyun.
Jun Tianyun felt like someone dug five icy hooks on his shoulder.
” Allow me to bestow you my blessing. Blood and Spirit Absorption Art!”
The old man shouted. Jun Tianyun moved as he felt a sudden pain throughout his body. He didn’t delay as he punched the old man.
” Haha! It’s futile! You can’t escape from my clutc-“
The old man’s laugh was cut in the middle as he saw a talisman pasted on him.
The Talisman gave a bright white light which made the black smoke around the old man dissipate.
” ARRRGH! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!”
The old man roared as he pushed Jun Tianyun. Jun Tianyun got shot back like a bullet as he crashed on the nearby bookshelf.
” Cough, Cough!”
Jun Tianyun got up as a few books fell on him. He hurriedly pasted the Earthshield Talisman on him to shield his physical body,
” Bastard! To think you got a Purifying Talisman for me!”
The old man shouted as a black aura blasted from his body. His figure looked slightly more volatile than before.
” Hah, You are saying like your blessing was really going to help me.” Jun Tianyun sneered.
” Hehe, It seems I have underestimated you. Very well, I will possess your body and refine your soul bit by bit.”
The old man roared as he attacked Jun Tianyun.
” Ghostly Touch!”
Jun Tianyun felt pressure around him as his body froze in its place. It felt like sleep paralysis. Jun Tianyun felt like his body turned into an ice sculpture.
” Damn it, This old geezer is tough!”
Jun Tianyun screamed in his heart. He used all of his strength and moved his arm.
” Fireball Talisman!”

A paper flew like a dart as it turned into a fireball. The old man was surprised as he caught it.
” Ouch!”
He yelped as he hurriedly put out the flames. His gaze turned colder as he looked at Jun Tianyun.
” Hehe, It seems you are hiding a lot of secrets, Eh? Very well, I will dig through them slowly.” The old man cackled.
As the old man was distracted, Jun Tianyun regained control of his body.
He gazed coldly at the old man but didn’t move.
” Hahaha! Die!”
The old man vanished from his spot, startling Jun Tianyun.
Suddenly, Jun Tianyun felt someone grabbing his neck from behind as he gasped for air.
” Fuck, Teleportation?”
Jun Tianyun thought inwardly as he struggled.
He could feel that the energy points from his body were getting drained by the old man.
” Ahh, After a long time, I finally absorbed some true energy.” The old man chuckled in ecstasy.
” Soo, I will possess your body. After that…”
” After that, you would rot in hell, Old Bastard!”
Jun Tianyun roared as he mustered all of his strength.
He turned around as he punched both of his arms.
The old man was startled as he never thought Jun Tianyun got more tricks. After all, making a talisman was something hard even for him.
Two different types of talisman got pasted on his body.
One of them gave a bright light, like a sun. While the other one zapped with blue arcs of light.
” Impossible! What kind of talisman these are?!”
” Holy Light? L-Lightning!”
The old man screamed as both talismans exploded at the same time.
The old man punched Jun Tianyun with all of his force. The Earthshield Talisman’s barrier sprang up as it defended against the evil spirit’s attack.
However, after lasting for three seconds, it broke. But it reduced the power of the attack by a great degree.
But, It was still a desperate attack. Jun Tianyun felt like he has eaten a punch from a heavyweight boxer as he coughed out saliva.
The Evil Warding Talisman and Lightning Smite Talisman both did their job.
The light of Evil Warding Talisman reduced the malevolent aura, and Lightning Smite Talisman attacked the body of the old evil spirit.
” Noo! I can’t die like this!”

Jun Tianyun pulled out the wooden peach sword and stabbed the body of the old man.

Like ice melting, the old man’s body melted into a puddle of black liquid.
However, the black liquid suddenly rose many hundreds of human faces appeared on it.

Jun Tianyun closed his ears as he felt hundreds of people screaming at the same time.
The black liquid charged at Jun Tianyun, catching him off guard.

Jun Tianyun cursed in his heart as he raised his wooden sword. He stood near the entrance of the basement. So, He could escape if anything dangerous happens.

Suddenly a voice startled Jun Tianyun as he looked around. A slender hand appeared out of thin air as it did a gentle motion.
The black pool of liquid screamed as it suddenly evaporated.
The black smoke condensed in the slender hand as it vanished suddenly.

Jun Tianyun asked ill-humoredly. The helper was none other than Su Qingyao.

” I was waiting till the true form of that evil spirit appear. When the black liquid appeared, I used a trick to drag it inside God’s Space.”
