Someone exclaimed in joy.
However, a red streak of light suddenly flew straight into them. It was Lucian’s Halberd, moving like a fire dragon.

The weapon didn’t stop. It continued its path of destruction, slicing through two more cultivators before anyone could react.
Blood sprayed in the air. Ashes scattered in the wind.
Sensing the energy inside his body, Lucian frowned.
A young man among the attackers shouted, “Don’t stop now! He’s weakening. We can overwhelm him!”
The remaining cultivators hesitated.
Lucian sneered.
After killing half of them, the remaining attackers backed away, their faces pale with fear.
Suddenly, someone among them gasped.
“Wait! This… this isn’t right!” He shouted, “How can a Qi Gathering Realm cultivator have such vast reserves of energy, unless…”
“Unless what?” someone asked nervously.
“Foundation Establishment…” Before the young man could finish his revelation, he had already turned tail and fled, burning his essence blood to boost his speed.
The remaining cultivators’ faces drained of color as realization dawned.
Without any hesitation, they scattered in all directions, abandoning any other thoughts.
In the end, half of the fleeing cultivators died, their bodies consumed by crimson flames.

He stood, his crimson robes rustling. He approached the blood pool. The other cultivators watched in reverence.

From the corner of his eyes, the red-robed man looked into a direction, smirking, “I didn’t expect a Foundation Establishment to still be here. Good. I can use you to confirm how strong my spirit beast become.”
He laughed uproariously, his voice echoing off the valley walls.
The other cultivators turned to look. Few of them had pale faces as this newcomer was surely out of their league.
Julius also used his Qi Sense to scan the ahead, but it was quickly pushed back.
While the beast slowly opened its pale white eyes, looking into the distance.
Even though he had been discovered, Lucian didn’t emerge. He remained hidden, pretending to tremble in fear.
The beast slowly stood up, its massive body rising from the blood pool. Its body was that of a lion, covered in crimson fur matted with blood. And its head was that of an eagle, with a long, sharp beak.
As it unfurled to its wings fully, its cast dark shadows across the valley floor.

With a loud roar that shook the walls, the creature released a surge of spiritual pressure that rippled through the air.
The power emanating from the beast was easily matching that of a mid Foundation Establishment cultivator.
The demonic cultivators in the valley gasped and stumbled back, their faces pale with a mixture of awe and fear. Many clutched at their chests, struggling to breathe as the dense spiritual pressure pressed down upon them like a mountain.
Then in a single flap of its wings, the beast launched itself into the air.
It crossed twenty meters in an instant, moving so fast it seemed to blur to the low level cultivators.
As it neared Lucian’s location, it moved its massive wings to create a sharp tip!

There was a loud explosion as the wind hit the area where Lucian was hiding. Rocks shattered, leaving a crater in the rocky ground.
But when the dust settled, Lucian stood unharmed, holding a red colored Halberd.
The man in red robe eyes widened slightly in surprise, “Ohh? You didn’t die? So you have a powerful defensive treasure, huh? Let’s see how long it can save you!”
