88 The Heart Behind A Maniac
Zeras immediately disappeared from where stood as his body ripped through the air around the place with speed, the three arrows jus ten centimeters behind him.
Zeras turned and turned, but the arrows easily catched up to him as they chased him around the place…
“With perfect control of my Mana which is around the weapon, people like me with such control of Mana, are like superhumans among Gene awakeners…” Gaia said as she suddenly flicked her her hand and the arrows appeared at his front and back.
Flicking her index finger forward, they immediately moved towards Zeras from the back and his front as they closed in on him…
“I guess I can be called pretty ordinary among Gene awakeners. I can’t control my Mana like you do, but…”
Zeras Mana core suddenly flared with power as he activated his genetic ability, Bio-morph. Mana quickly flowed out of his Mana core and circulated through his entire body, greatly enhancing his strength but Zeras didn’t choose to change to his form and just allowed the Mana to keep circulating in him to improve his strength.
The arrow moved from both end of him causing him to close his eyes as his palms suddenly moved towards them, the arrow made the slightest contact with it, but before they could dig into it, Zeras moved his palms round their shaft as he quickly rotated causing a circular ripple to appear around him as he deflected the arrows making them go to the opposite side they were coming from before.
With the arrows deflected, he immediately slammed his right leg to the ground as Mana rushed through it causing a crack to appear on the ground before disappearing from where he stood.

Zeras figure immediately appeared before Gaia like a mirage as he threw out a powerful kick at her, causing her to to cross her hands as she was once again sent retreating backwards.
He slowly stood upright as he looked at her before deciding to straighten his rough uniform.
“While it might be true that you can control the arrows by enveloping your Mana on them. Though you might be able to change their speed, you can’t change their power.
Even if the power might increase by using the momentum, it’s still incomparable with to the power of an arrow fired with a bow. In the end, they are just normal arrows with their normal arrow weight behind them which is nothing special. What I’m saying is, their power is nothing to me…” Zeras said looking into her eyes. .𝒎
Gaia’s eyebrows furrowed as she slowly held her arrows in her hand looking at them.
“You deflected them by causing a ripple through the air, automatically stopping their momentum for a single second before taking that chance to direct them the opposite side with the power of the circular ripple your strength caused… You have an incredible control over your strength.” Gaia said with an approving nod.
She was sincerely shocked by how Zeras was able to think calmly while getting chased around by her arrows and he was able to perfectly control the air by causing ripples with his strength. This can only be done by someone with perfect control over his or her strength…
Unknowing to her, Zeras cultivation just increased and even he was having a hard time being able to control his strength now, the spar enabled him to slowly regulating his strength and being able to slowly control of it.
“You’ve surprised me by the growth of your strength. I would need to take out by weapon to defeat you…” Gaia said looking straight at him.
“Well, it was only a light spar, there’s no need to take it so seriously…” Zeras said as he slowly moved out of the hall.

A notification appeared in front of him telling him of his mission already completed, although he was a little disappointed in that he obtained almost nothing except being able to further control his strength and knowing how strong he truly was without morphing.
“Don’t you want to know why I’m always training hard like you asked…” Gaia said said as she followed after Zeras figure and they both slowly moved towards the exit.
“Well, to be honest, it’s truly none of my business. But for some reason I’m a little worried…” Zeras said.
“Worried about me?” Gaia asked as he looked at Zeras but he didn’t turn his head to look at her and just remained silent.
“Since you grew so fast, maybe I met let you in on some secret. A secret only a few know…” Gaia said, her voice growing into a whisper.
Thankfully, there was no one in the training room except for the two of them, so Zeras wasn’t worried of someone picking on their conversation.
“Oh, what secret?”
“They’re coming soon…” Gaia said as she suddenly grabbed unto Zeras hand’s and turned him to face her.
Zeras looked at her surprised at her sudden action as he looked deep into her green eyes.
“Who are they?”
“A powerful outer race. A powerful foe…” Gaia mumbled, her eyes distance like she was recollecting the past.
“They…they want…me” Zera’s heart suddenly dropped down with a bang in him as his eyes narrowed. It was a feeling he couldn’t understand. It was a feeling of imminent danger was rapidly approaching him.
Gaia’s eyes soon regained her clarity as she looked at Zeras in the eye. He could feel her body shudder in fear for only a single second but she was quick to regain herself.
“Do you believe me?” Gaia asked as she kept her face down and slowly released Zeras from her grasp. Gaia knew. She had always had this dream. A dream that had always been bothering her ever since she opened her Mana core and started cultivating. They had been nightmares of another race, so powerful in her dreams that they were beyond her comprehension. 𝘪𝑎.𝘤𝑜𝑚
She told her family of the dream but they shooed it off with a laugh and none believed. None except for her grandfather. So she grew disappointed, and just kept it to herself.
Training as hard as she could in preparation for what was coming. What she herself didn’t know why or when it was coming.
But seeing Zeras, she didn’t know why, but she felt he was different. Something different about him from others that she couldn’t understand. Ever since she had seen him unconscious and her grandfather had told her to heal him something he had never for once done before. She couldn’t help but be a little curious, but since she knew he wasn’t even an awakener yet, she thought there was nothing special about him as his future will defined be dim due to his late awakening.
But when her grandfather told her, Zeras was a talented person. It once again piqued her curiousity and she decided to leave it to fate. When she thought their path will never cross again, he suddenly came back to her. He never forgot the help she did for him, even though she herself already forgot and seeing how fast he grew in less than a month. She was convinced, that he was different.
But her hands were slipping away now, she knew they all never believed, or it was just too hard to believe, they all just laughed it off and called her a maniac…
Her hands slowly released him from her grasp but before they could completely leave him. A warm hand grabbed onto her preventing her from completely slipping away…
A hand slowly raised her chin up as she stared into those piercing blue eyes…
“I believe you…”
