Villain Ch 64. Confront Her Other Side
Shea’s face flushed with embarrassment as she tried to calm herself down. She knew that this was just a game, a virtual world where she could let loose and be herself. But there was a strange feeling overpowering her chest, something foreign and unexplainable that she couldn’t quite put her finger on.
As she tried to regain her composure, Shea instinctively covered her face with her hands, hoping to hide her blushing cheeks from the world. But it was no use – the strange feeling inside her only grew stronger with each passing moment, like a wildfire raging out of control.

With a deep breath, Shea slowly removed her hands from her face and tried to collect her thoughts. “I should stop behaving like a teenage girl,” she chided herself, her voice laced with self-disgust. “I’m too old for this.” But despite her best efforts, Shea couldn’t deny the fluttering sensation in her chest, the way her heart raced at the mere thought of him.
It was Allen who had stirred up these unfamiliar emotions in Shea, the kind of sensation she hadn’t felt since she was a teenager. She remembered the days when she used to steal glances at her crush every time she came back from school, her heart racing at the mere sight of him. But now, in this virtual world, it was like everything had come full circle, and Shea was experiencing those same feelings all over again – only this time, they were more intimate, more intense.
“Wait… is this what they call second puberty?” Shea muttered to herself, her voice barely above a whisper. She had heard about it before, of course – how some people, even in their adult years, could experience a surge of hormones that made them feel like teenagers again. But Shea had always thought it was a silly notion, something that only happened to other people. She never expected it to happen to her.
And yet, here she was, with her face covered by her hands like a middle school girl who had just seen her crush. It wasn’t like her at all, and Shea couldn’t help but feel a sense of shame wash over her. After all, she was a successful businesswoman, a woman who had built her own empire and had no trouble calling the shots. She had always prided herself on her independence and her ability to take care of herself, both in and out of the boardroom.
But now, with her heart racing and her mind in turmoil, Shea felt like a different person altogether. She was helpless to control these emotions, these impulses that were pushing her towards Allen like a magnet to steel. And to make matters worse, he was the one who was dominating her in the game, leaving her feeling vulnerable and exposed in a way that she had never experienced before.
The sound of a sharp knock on the door reverberated through the room, jolting Shea out of her thoughts. She turned her head towards the source of the sounds as the door creaked open.
It was her daughter, Zoe.
“Mom,” Zoe spoke, “can you tell the others that I need more time? My project team hasn’t sent her file to me yet.”
But before Shea could answer, Zoe’s brow furrowed in concern as she took in her mother’s flushed cheeks and wide eyes. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked, her voice laced with worry. “Why is your face blushing? Are you ill?”
Shea’s heart sank at her daughter’s words. She had always prided herself on being strong and composed, never showing weakness or vulnerability in front of her family.
“I-I’m fine,” she stammered, trying to regain her composure. But the words came out weak and unconvincing, and Shea could see the disappointment in Zoe’s eyes.
Zoe took a step closer to her mother, her concern growing with every passing moment. She had never seen her mother act like this before, so uncertain and afraid. Her confidence seemed to disappear and was replaced with obvious nervousness as if she had just done the wrong thing. It was unnerving, to say the least.
“Are you sure?” she asked, her voice soft and gentle. “You don’t look fine at all.”
Shea swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest. “I… I just had a lot on my mind,” she reasoned.
“Really?” said Zoe in disbelief and approached Shea. ｎｏｖ𝚕．𝚌ｏｍ
Quickly, Shea rose from her seat, the chair scraping against the floor as she did. “Don’t worry about me. I’m fine!” she spoke in a loud, assertive voice, hoping that Zoe would take the hint and not come any closer.
Zoe stopped, but she didn’t seem convinced. She hesitated for a moment, her eyes scanning Shea’s face for any sign of weakness or distress. “But you don’t look fine at all,” she said, her voice softening as she spoke.
